While you should have excellent practical skills, it is critical you understand it is the conceptual aspects of design that set the foundation. You are willing to consider all requirements and weigh them up. You can see the bigger picture and break that down into the necessary details. You have a strong visual design focus. Most importantly, you have the fortitude necessary to deliver human centred products when challenged with complex design problems.

We will expect you to

• Execute on all stages of the design thinking process, from understanding the problem all the way through to release
• Monitor success metrics and incorporate this information into future designs
• Usability test using low/high fidelity prototypes, incorporating results into the design
• Wire-frame & prototype to help quickly explore and refine proposed solutions

Experience and skills we look for

• Acted as the key designer in a multi-disciplinary team for complex software projects
• Have run software design projects from research through to release and success monitoring
• An excellent on-line portfolio showcasing UX, UI and visual design work for mobile, desktop and web
• Worked closely with development teams to build web products, and ideally mobile apps
• Expertise with at least one prototyping or wire-framing software tool (Sketch, Figma, Photoshop)
• Experience with data visualisation and/or design systems would be beneficial, but not a requirement
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experienceb
